Abstract :
In planning the development of gas wells in the Field "X", necessary to
analyze the characteristics of the reservoir, in this case the company did the well
test, and one of it is Pressure Build Up Test. One of the wells to be analyzed is gas
well MK045 that taken by author as a study case in this final project.
The Pressure Buildup analysis using Horner's method for gas wells, required
to use of appropriate equations based on the reservoir pressure. At the well
MK045 has a reservoir pressure <2000 psi, so the equation used P2. Results of the
analysis of these Horner will then be compared with the results from Simulator
Saphir 3.20 analysis.
The result reservoir characteristics on the Horner analysis are initial
reservoir pressure (P * or Pi) 1274.887 psi, permeability (k) 19.483 mD, skin
factor 1.476, ?Pskin 67.431 Psi, and FE 0.816. While the result reservoir
characteristics at Saphir Simulator 3.20 analysis are initial reservoir pressure (P *
or Pi) 1274.89 psi, permeability (k) 20 mD, skin factor of 1.9, and ?Pskin 85.562
Psi. FE value is not obtained from Saphir Simulator 3.20. From this slight
difference in the results, it can be seen that the results of Horner method
calculation had approached valid.
