Abstract :
Lots of oil and gas fields in Indonesia has been produced since long time ago. Unfortunately, most of that fields these days dont have well daily production history in detail, that makes us so difficult to analyze performance of that field, especially to determine the most effective methode to enhance oil recovery. the remaining data available, such as first oil rate produced, last oil rate produced, and cumulative production without any daily oil rates.
Decline curve is used to determine the hydrocarbon reserves of a reservoir (field). This method uses linear regression analysis to determine the equation / function of each of the decline curve obtained from the production rate, production time, and cumulative production. The equation used to calculate ultimate recovery, life time production, and the remaining reserves.
Thats why, from existing data, we have to reconstruct production data. One of the techniques to reconstruct that data is by using decline curve analysis methode, so that we can obtain daily production rate to be used to predict esimated OOIP.
